The Costa del Sol weather is exactly what you would expect from the name “Sunny Coast”, sun, sun and more sun. It is one of the best, most reliable and healthiest climates in the world with more than 300 days of sunshine per year.
In the winter months the climate is temperate with average daytime temperatures of about 16ºC. There can be some rainy days during this period but tends to vary from year to year and it seldom lasts more than a few days. It is a perfect climate during these months for playing golf.
At the height of the summer in July and August the daytime temperatures reach about 30ºC and there is no rain – perhaps there may be one or two summer storms but nothing that will last too long. Due to the number of hours and the intensity of the sun people should have sun cream on at all times during the day to prevent burning. Note: sunburn does not show straight away so you may feel fine out in the sun but by the evening you could become bright red and feel very, very uncomfortable.

The apartment is ideal for a family holiday as it is literally a home from home. There are two spacious bedrooms both with their own wardrobes and plenty of storage space.
There is a fully fitted kitchen with all the amenities you would expect so if you don’t want to eat out 3 times a day, which can be expensive, you can have your breakfast, lunch or evening meal in the comfort of the apartment.
On the actual complex there is a gated, secure swimming pool that stops any young children wandering too close to the pool, so you can relax and sun bathe without having to go to the beach.
We definitely recommend you hire a car for your stay as you can then enjoy all of the fabulous attractions that the area has to offer.
Mijas Park is one of the main water attractions on the coast and is located along the main road heading towards Fuengirola. Facilities include self service restaurants, changing rooms, safety deposit boxes, gift shop and picnic area.
Situated in Benalmadena Port the “Danger in the Reefs” exhibition allows you to experience the ocean’s most deadly creatures ranging from the Blue Ring Octopus to the comical Puffer Fish. Lots of local and exotic Mediterranean wildlife, sharks, rays, eels and more.
Selwo is a nature park unique in Europe where animals from the five continents co-exist in semi wild conditions. The park is separated in to several zones each of which features a variety of different animals. Experience it all from exotic birds to mischievous monkeys.
